Resume

I am a composer, conductor, and orchestrator based in Los Angeles who specializes in music for visual media.  I have a Masters in Music from Seattle Film Institute, where I studied composition and orchestration for film and television with Emmy-winning composer Hummie Mann, and trained in the latest technology used by composers.  I have composed scores for shorts, features, and commercials.  Recent compositions include music for Top Chef Master Thierry Rautureau’s Kitchen Circus and music for the Lifetime Movie Network.

From 2015 to 2017, I served as president of the board of the non-profit Academy of Scoring Arts, founded by composer Ron Jones (Family Guy, Star Trek) as a community where working composers can study orchestration and share ideas.  This group, “The Ravel Study,” includes guest speakers such as David Newman, Bruce Broughton, Tyler Bates, and Ludwig Göransson.  The ASA also presents cross-disciplinary programs where new producers and directors can learn from veteran producers and composers about the art and craft of film scoring and catch the excitement and drama that live musicians can provide.  I continue to contribute to this organization as a board member.
