I studied, composed, and performed music from an early age, playing
trumpet in classical ensembles which toured the United States and
Europe, and guitar in a number of rock and jazz groups. My recent
compositions include an advertisement for the restaurant
Luc, and
underscore for the short film The Match Girl.
I studied composition and orchestration for film and television with
Emmy-winning composer Hummie Mann, and songwriting with multi-platinum
selling songwriter Sue Ennis. I currently serve on the board of
The Seattle Composers Alliance, and have also been a contributing writer for
the Seattle Weekly and MSNBC.com where I wrote about indie music for the
column "Independent Study. "
